Description:
The
Red Deer Cutoff Trail connects the Buchanan Pass Trail with Red Deer Lake.
This trail climbs 280 feet in about .6 miles. The trail is very rocky and
fairly steep for the first quarter mile. It travels through a dense spruce

Lake, the trail continues part way around the lake in both directions. Camping
is permitted at the lake but open campfires are not allowed. Fishing is good
