Lily Lake Trail
Description:
The Lily Lake Trail is a nice level walk around
the perimeter of Lily Lake. There is parking both at the lake and the visitor
center across the road. The trail is located about 6.2 miles from Estes Park
on Highway 7. It follows a gravel path around the lake making it accessible
for wheelchairs. There are benches located at various places along the trail
to rest or just enjoy the scenery. Lily Lake is popular with fishermen. The
west end of the lake is marsh where you are serenaded by small frogs. There
is a picnic area just southwest of the lake. It is about three quarters of
a mile around the lake. Restrooms are located at the east end of the lake.

Directions:
The
Lily Lake Trail begins from the Lily Lake Trailhead. Take Highway 7 south
from Estes Park for about 6.2 miles to the Lily Lake Trailhead. The parking
area is on the west side of the road. There is a visitors center on the east
side of the highway.
