Skyscraper
Reservoir is a beautiful small reservoir located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness
above timberline at 11,221 feet. This lake contains cutthroat trout and is
easily accessed all around its shoreline. Camping is allowed with a Woodland
Travel Zone permit, however, rocky terrain makes it less suitable for camping.

Skyscraper
Reservoir can be reached via the Woodland Lake Trail. Take the Devils Thumb
Trail from the Hessie Trailhead for 2.3 miles to the Woodland Lake Trail. Travel
2.5 miles on this trail to its end at Skyscraper Reservoir. The best camping
areas are around Woodland Lake, a half mile to the east.
To
get to the Hessie Trailhead take County Road 130 west from Nederland about 5
miles to the trailhead and the east end of the Devils Thumb Trail.
