Red Rock Lake
Description:
Red
Rock Lake is a small very shallow lake located about two miles east of Brainard
Lake in the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. This lake is just outside the eastern
boundary of the wilderness. Red Rock Lake is very grassy and contains a lot
of lily pads. It can be difficult to fish for brook, rainbow, and cutthroat
trout.

Take
Highway 72 north from Nederland approximately eight miles to Ward. Turn west
on Forest Road 112 and travel about three miles to the Brainard Lake Recreation
Area. The lake is on the left side of the road just past the entrance gate.
There is a parking area next to the road.
