Middle St Vrain Creek

Description:
Middle St Vrain Creek begins in the Indian Peaks Wilderness near St Vrain Glaciers and flows southeast and east where it joins St Vrain Creek. This stream contains rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout. Access is provided by the Buchanan Pass and St Vrain Glacier trails and the Middle St Vrain 4WD Road.

Directions:
Middle St Vrain Creek can be best accessed from the Middle St Vrain Trailhead. To reach the Middle St Vrain Trailhead take Highway 7 west from Lyons approximately 12 miles or Highway 7 south from Estes Park about 18 miles to Highway 72. Turn south on 72 and travel approximately five miles to the Peaceful Valley Campground. Turn west through the campground and on to Camp Dick Campground (about a mile). The trailhead is located at the west end of the Camp Dick Campground. From the trailhead, hike the Buchanan Pass and St Vrain Glacier trails (these trails parallel the creek) or drive the Middle St Vrain 4WD Road.
