Rawah Lake #3
Description:
Rawah
Lake #3 is the second southern most lake of the Rawah Lakes. It is located
in the Rawah Wilderness just west of the Rawah Trail. This deep lake contains
cutthroat and rainbow trout and can be fished from most of its shoreline.
Camping is permitted in the area around the lake except within revegetation
areas. This lake is in the alpine closure zone where open fires are not permitted.

Rawah
Lake #3 can be best reached via the Rawah and West Branch trails from the West
Branch Trailhead. Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue
on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 50 miles to the Laramie
River Road. Turn right and travel 6.5 miles to the West Branch Trailhead. The
trailhead is on the left side of the road. Hike 3.7 miles on the West Branch
Trail and 2.65 miles on the Rawah Trail.
