Mirror Lake

Description:
Mirror Lake is a small deep lake located in a deep cirque near the northern border of Rocky Mountain National Park. This lake contains brown trout and is easily fished from about half of its shoreline. Camping is permitted in designated campsites only and requires a backcountry camping permit from the Park Service.

Directions:
Mirror Lake can be reached via the Mirror Lake Trail from the north or the Corral Creek, Mummy Pass, and Mirror Lake trails from the west. The north end of the trail can be reached via the Zimmerman Trailhead and the Zimmerman and Flowers Trails. Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 25 miles to the Pingree Park Road. Take the Pingree Park Road to the Crown Point Road (about 4.2 miles). Head west on the Crown Point Road for 18 miles to its end and the trailhead. Hike 2.5 miles to the Flowers Trail. Hike 1.1 miles west on the Flowers Trail to the Mirror Lake Trail. Hike 8.7 miles on the Mirror Lake Trail to Mirror Lake.
From the west take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 52 miles to the Long Draw Road. Turn left and travel ten miles to the Corral Creek Trailhead. The trailhead is on the left side of the road. Hike 1.3 miles on the Corral Creek Trail and then about a mile on the Poudre River Trail into Rocky Mountain National Park to the Mummy Pass Trail. Hike about three miles east on the Mummy Pass Trail to the Mirror Lake Trail. It is about 1.5 miles to the lake.
