About RAS

Resource Analysis Systems was founded in 1988 by Dr. John E. Heasley. RAS is dedicated to the development and application of new technologies for the collection and analysis of information concerning our use of the natural environment. These technologies include: computer simulation models of natural systems, visual analysis software, information systems and decision support systems for use in environmental assessments, and digital mapping software. A lot of information has been collected about natural resources that is not readily available to people who love the outdoors. RAS hopes to change that by using technology to bring you truly useful information through the publication of books, maps, CDs, development of outdoor recreation kiosks, and making detailed information about Colorado's outdoor resources available on-line.
